Last month we were proud to support Ukraine by sponsoring a local event to 'Sing for Ukraine' at a local venue, and together, we raised a total of £1,122.50.
On May 7, 2022, many of us gathered at St. Mary's Chambers in Rossendale to raise money for the Ukraine appeal through a charity concert organized by Danielle Radcliffe. The Rossendale Valley Aloud Choir, the Rossendale Valley Male Valley Choir, Bacup Royal Court Theatre and X-Rays contributed to the event.
The audience supported the performance by contributing £10 per ticket and participating in the tombola, which contained prizes from Rawtenstall's most popular restaurants and businesses.
£622.50 was raised at the event, with this amount rising to £722.50 because of online ticket sales. Corporate sponsorship, which included ourselves donating £200, took the total raised to £1122.50.
It was a fantastic evening and a pleasure to be involved with such a great cause.
